A1) First off, the answers may vary depending on the individual’s rank and experience, and holding a CoC 1 (Engine) does not equate “Chief Engineer” rank. More on that later.
In the above, the following jobs were highlighted for Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer to transit to shore: Technical Superintendent, Marine Consultant, Marine Surveyor. Generally Marine Surveyor starts about SGD 6~7K/month, Technical Superintendent SGD 8K onwards. Not including bonuses or allowances.
