I think everyone would have this issues. Sharing my experiences below,
1) Check your pump suction & discharge pressure
2) Close your suction valve. The suction pressure should drop down to vacuum. If the pressure gauge already shows vacuum, your Pump inlet filter are already dirty.
3) Check that there is only 1 bilge well valves opened, it is…[Read more] -

Brands of boilers i’ve experience are Hada Tortise, Sunflame boiler. Both rotary cup type and pressure fuel jet type.
Prior to port, make sure your boiler can be fired, else you’re gonna be in trouble.
Simple maintenance to be carried out, Make sure that the electrodes are clean, Nozzle is clear, Swirl plates are not choked.
Commonly problems…[Read more]

especially prior to arrvial port, you wouldnt want you MAC to give problems during manuvering. One grave mistake is not noticing the difference between the 2nd stage suction and 2nd…[Read more]

I’ve experienced Tanabe & Mitsubishi Air compressors.
After overhauling, the gaskets to be fitted tight thus all the nuts must be tighten properly. If not the gasket will burst from the high pressure air. Double check and tighten to make sure.
When reassembling, make sure that all the surface is brushed clean, if surface is not even, i’d apply…[Read more] -

2) Travel Adapter
3) Socks, towels, for me i just go and spend Emart credits. Finish contract just throw them away

Money worth today is worth less in future. In 2019, inflation rate was 0.57%. Having all our money in bank doesn’t makes much sense,The interest is ~0.5 -1% basic.…[Read more]

Technically yes. If less than 15ppm. But how much exactly is 15ppm, but of course politically safe answer is always no, cannot pump out.

Just sharing for juniors ah, choose wisely.

We can start / share what investment ideas or what portfolio we have? Investment is a such a broad subject. Seafarers surely must be in touch with personal finance, if not come back shore. money all spent, end up might as well dont sail. Looking at the money we can save at Sea, really make our sacrifice and those sweat worth it.
