On behalf of MPA, we would like to spread awareness on various support schemes. The following message was sent to the Webinar participants.
Dear all,
Thank you for joining us at the briefing sessions last week and for expressing your interest in the SGUnited Skills Programme.
In gist, the programme seeks to encourage individuals, who might be affected by the subdued hiring climate, to keep upskilling through full-time training programmes at CET centres or Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL). To ensure industry-relevance, we hope to bring onboard employers to help with co-designing and co-delivering of these programmes – e.g. offer short term work attachments, host business projects etc. Employers also stand to benefit by being exposed to potential talents as they could hire the trainees full time when they have completed the training programme, along with a hiring incentive.
The initial details can be found here: https://www.skillsfuture.sg/sgunitedskills.
The programme details are still being fine-tuned at the time of the writing of this email. As such, we seek your kind patience on this and we will re-engage you once more details are firmed up. In the meantime, you may want to consider other support programmes such as SGUnited Traineeship, Sea Transport Professional Conversion Programme, Work-Study Programmes to support hiring for operational needs.
Thank you and have a great week ahead!
