On behalf of MPA, we would like to spread awareness on various support schemes. The following message was sent to the Webinar participants.
Dear all,
Good afternoon. Thank you for joining us at the briefing sessions last week and for expressing your interest in the maritime Work-Study Programmes. In gist, the programme seeks to support polytechnic and ITE graduates to continue to deepen their maritime skills through apprenticeship programmes with maritime companies for key maritime jobs (e.g. seafarers, charterers, vessel operators, brokers, ship agents). Trainees will receive sign-on incentive, competitive salaries, mentorship and guidance while participating employers will stand to receive up to $12,000 in grants per individual placed/mentored.
More information could be found in the links to the various work-study programmes: Deck Officer (SP/SMA), Marine Engineer (SP/SMA), Shipowning, Operating & Broking (ICS), Maritime Business (ITE). If you would like to speak with someone to find out more, please feel free to contact colleagues from SSG and MPA (copied in this email).
Have a great week ahead! Thanks!
