Just as how university students enter companies as interns and have no say about what type of colleagues/superiors they wish for.. As seafarers, the ones who survive are the ones who learned how to (body) roll with the waves. Look for constructive feedback, a mentor, and try not to pay too much attention to colleagues who do not sincerely wish for your success.
